Support Tickets Setup

Create a professional ticketing system for your community with private support channels and organized ticket management.

Prerequisites

  • Administrator permissions in your Discord server
  • AdaShield Bot added to your server
  • A designated moderator/support role

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Start Setup

Run the support system setup command:

/support setup

Step 2: Select Moderator Role

Choose the role that will have access to view and manage all support tickets. Members with this role will be able to see all ticket channels.

💡 Tip: This is typically your "Moderator", "Support Team", or "Admin" role.

Step 3: Confirm Setup

Click "Confirm Setup" to create the support ticket system. The bot will automatically:

  • Create a "Support Tickets" category
  • Create a #support channel with a "Create Ticket" button
  • Configure proper permissions for ticket privacy

Step 4: You're Done!

Users can now create support tickets by clicking the button in the #support channel.

Best Practices

✅ Set Clear Expectations

In your #support channel, include a message about expected response times and what issues are appropriate for tickets.

✅ Use Professional Language

Tickets create a professional environment. Encourage both users and moderators to communicate clearly and respectfully.

✅ Close Resolved Tickets Promptly

Keep your ticket category organized by closing tickets once issues are resolved. This makes it easier to track active issues.
